Moderating

I've had to enable comment moderation as it seems I've acquired an annoying spammer. He seems to be getting past the word verification, and the IP address has been different each time. So the only I can think of for now is to moderate the comments. Please continue to read and comment as the only comments I'll not be publishing will be spam.

Happy Reading!

Well, it's CD1

and normally that would mean we'd be starting the FET cycle tomorrow. However, due to some unexpected expenses in January, we've decided to put it off one month. Fear not, dear readers, we have budgeted and planned to definitely do the cycle at the end of February.

In the mean time I'm going to take advantage of the 4 week hiatus and try to lose a little bit of this excess weight I put on during those three business trips and Christmas. I won't be able to lose it all, but I'll be happy with 7-10lbs. To achieve this I'm going to do my darnedest to get on the treadmill daily or at least every other day. I'm also going to attempt to eat properly which can be hard when my daily commute is upwards of 45-60 minutes each way and I'm tired when I get home. And finally, I'm going to use some supplements which I've heard decent things about. The two listed at the top of this page are the two I'm going to use for the month. I'm also going to buy the book "The Last 15" which is by this doctor. She's a local doctor who specializes in nutrition and wellness and is nutrition "expert" for the local morning tv show. Some will say, pushah, how good is she. However, I've seen her a number of times, and anything I've heard her say has been correct information not nonsense. So, I figured her book may be useful in the long run plus she's an advocate of these supplements.

I know there are going to be some of you who don't believe in supplementation. That's fine and I respect your opinion. But rather than being a dream stealer* (and we've all had these people in our lives) and telling me how bad they are, or I'm wasting my money, I would rather you just encouraged me in my attempt at a healthier lifestyle. Besides hopefully losing some weight, I will be bringing my body to a healthier state to start the FET cycle. Perhaps I'll post updates on what's going on. :)

Wish me luck!!

* A dream stealer is a person from whom negativity emits, and nothing else. A person who voices faults found in every ideal. Existing does not seem a wise basis to determine if announcement is appropriate. This thief will without regard for the, for lack of a better word, feelings of others, opens his or her big mouth and shatter hope, aspiration, and dreams.(http://www.zoratu.com/writings/enemies.html)

The Rockstar Meme

It's beeen going around, so I decided to do it to.

1. Click on this link. The title of the page is the name of your band.

2. Click on this link. The last four words of the final quotation on the page are the title of your album.

3. Click on this link. The third picture is your album cover.

4. Take the photo, add your band name and album title and voila, you're a rockstar. If don't have the resources to do up your album cover graphic design, just post the name of your band, your album & tell us what your cover looks like.

Here's mine:

My album name is "Of a Brimming Mind", but it seems that their bike is brimming as well. :)

I'm not tagging anyone, but if you feel like doing it, just post a comment and I'll know to go check it out.

Deaths

* 1820 - Daniel Boone, American frontiersman (b. 1734)

Holidays and observances

* European Day of Languages.

There weren't any real holidays or observances.

Here's the meme:

1. Go to Wikipedia and type in your Birthday Month and day only.
2. List 3 Events that occurred that day.
3. List 2 important Birth days (Jess listed five, and so have I.)
4. List 1 Death.
5. List a Holiday or Observance. (if any)

I'm back

I know it's been a little while. I've been off in California for work. Now before all you people residing in the colder climes of Canada and the US go and say how lucky I am etc etc. Please keep in mind, I was working. Although not the trip from hell it was still exhausting. This was my third international trip in eight weeks. Normally I'd think great, and I do like travelling. But basically working 61 hours in four days, not including travel days, can wear on a person and I've done that for three different trips.

Anyway, I'm back, and this project is now complete. Woohoo!!!! The only travelling I want to do is with V. Maybe we can fit in a vacation in March?

So, it's CD16 for me today. AF should show up in about 12 days if it decides to be on time which means we hope to be heading into the clinic on CD2, which would be about January 31st. I emailed my nurse to let her know our plans and ask her if there was anything we could do differently that might help this cycle, such as baby aspirin. She said that was a good idea, and I could speak with the doctor when we see him at the start of the cycle. Does anyone know if it would help to start that now?

Anyway, that's it. More when I have something to say. Just catching up on work, and everyone's blogs, although maybe not in that order. :)

Creepy or what?

For those who know me IRL, this will make sense.

I was sent a quiz on Facebook "Which Friend are You" which was based on the TV show Friends. Answer four questions and it will tell you which friend you are. Usually I do these but pay no real attention to the results, much like the quizzes you can do and post the links on blogs for others to do.

In any case, apparently I'm Monica Geller. The creepy part about this is the description.

You are just like Monica! You love to cook and dream of one day having a family. You are obsessed with keeping your house/flat/apartment/unit clean.

That is so me it's creepy!

It's a new year....and it's CD2

So it's a new year and we've all given (and received) the requisite good wishes to friends and family. Although we mean everything we say, that we hope they have health, happiness and prosperity in the coming year, I think the wishes that come from our friends in the computer, and those people IRL who know what we're going through, may mean the most to some of us. That's not to diminish the well wishes of those who do not know. But when the only thing you want is to have a baby in your arms by next Christmas, only those floating on that vast ocean in that boat with you, will fervently wish for you (and themselves) that that desire if fulfilled.

So, from V. and I, we truly hope that for all of you, your dreams are fulfilled and you have that addition to your family whether it be through IUI, IVF, DI, DE or adoption. Plus we wish you health, happiness and prosperity. :)

So, it's CD2 for me. What's that mean? Nothing much right now except that with my next cycle we hope to do the FET if we've got the funds in place. V. says we will, so that's the plan. If you're wondering why we aren't doing it this cycle, I've got one more trip for work from Jan 11-16 when I'll be in Cor.ona, Cali.fornia. (Anyone in the area want to meet?). We wanted to make sure all my traveling was done, and I was stress-free, or reasonably stress-free. I think there was just too much going on with the work trips, and some major stress on the home front (not with V. and I) that affected the last cycle. So, we're going to make sure everything is done and I've got as little as possible going on to stress me out.

So with that all said, I hope everyone has a great week!!
